These terms are an agreement between you and Active - Fitness & Nutrition ("we", "us"), the business behind the app named in our Terms of Use. You accept them by replying "I agree" to the email that sends you your link and code.
Two Ways to Work With Us
- Paid Creator. You get a link and a code that credit you, and we pay you a share of what the people you send pay us. No gift codes.
- Gifted Creator. You get the paid plan free for 3 months, and gift codes for your audience if you want them. No money, no script, no required post.
You are one or the other, not both at once. If a Gifted Creator becomes a Paid Creator, the gift code ends first.
Who Can Join
You must be 18 or older and live in the United States. Anyone can join: creators, personal trainers, gym staff and anyone with an audience. You don't need to prove you're a trainer, because we pay only for real paying customers. A gym can also join as a business. We may limit new sign-ups later.
What a Paid Creator Gets
- A code, for example SAM. People type it in the app under Settings, then Creator Code. It changes nothing for them: the same price and the same free trial as everyone else. It tells us you sent them.
- One link for iPhone and Android with your code in it, for example activefitnessnutrition.com/open?c=cr_sam. It opens the app if it's installed, or the right store if it isn't. We also send a QR code that opens your link, for a gym's front desk or a flyer.
- The paid plan, free, for as long as your agreement runs.
- A statement every month.
What We Pay
We pay a share of "net": what the App Store or Google Play pays us after their fee and any taxes they keep. In the United States that is 85% of the price today. The examples use US prices.
Your rate is set by the day you join, and it never goes down. Join by January 31, 2027 and you get the launch rate, 60%, for as long as you stay in the program. Creators who join after that get 40%.
- Paid plan, yearly: 60% of the first yearly payment. $40.79 on the $79.99 plan (40%: $27.20).
- Paid plan, monthly: 60% of each of the first three monthly payments. $6.62 each on the $12.99 plan, up to $19.87 (40%: $4.42 each).
- Lifetime: 60% of the one purchase. $76.49 at $149.99, $101.99 at $199.99 (40%: $51.00, $68.00).
- After those first payments, the customer's renewals are ours; you earn again on every new customer you send.
How we compare (published programs, October 2026): Hevy pays creators 25% of each payment, Gravitus 30% of each sale and MacroFactor 40% of a customer's first payment ($28.80 on its yearly plan). We pay 60% of what we receive on each new customer's first payments: $40.79 on a yearly plan.
We don't pay for installs, sign-ups, free trials, gift codes, free access we give, payments that are refunded or reversed, purchases by you or your household, or people who paid us before. We never pay for ratings or reviews.
How Sales Are Credited to You
- Android: when the person installs through your link, or types your code in the app within 7 days of installing.
- iPhone: Apple doesn't tell us who tapped which link, so on iPhone your code is what credits you. The person types it in the app within 7 days of installing, or opens your link again after installing. Every three months, once Apple's numbers for that quarter are final (about 90 days after it ends, past the refund window), we also check Apple's report for your link. If it shows more new paying customers than your code and link brought in, after refunds, we add your share of their first payments to your next monthly payout. Apple hides groups under 5 and its numbers carry a small margin, so we pay only what the report clearly shows.
- The first source counts. If the person first came through another creator, one of our own links or one of our ads, the sale stays with that source.
- Our records decide. Statements show counts, never names. Tell us within 60 days of a statement if something looks wrong, and we'll check.
When and How We Pay
- On the 1st of each month we add up every payment that has passed its waiting period, and we pay you by the 5th.
- Waiting period: 60 days after a monthly payment, 90 days after a yearly or Lifetime payment. The stores can refund purchases within those windows.
- Minimum $25. Smaller amounts roll over to the next month. When your agreement ends, we pay whatever you're owed, within the tax rule below.
- By PayPal, Venmo or bank transfer, your choice. We pay our sending fees.
- Taxes: you handle your own taxes. An IRS Form W-9 is optional. Without one, we pay you less than $2,000 in a calendar year (from 2026 the IRS needs the form from $2,000), and anything more waits until you send it; we'll send you a secure way to do that. With a W-9 there's no limit, and if we pay you $2,000 or more in a year, we file a Form 1099-NEC where the law requires it. If a gym joins as a business, the W-9 is the gym's.
- First statement: January 1, 2027.
Refunds
There's no commission on a refunded payment. If a refund comes after we paid you, we take it off your next commissions. We never ask you to pay us back unless there was fraud.
Say It Every Time
The FTC's rules on endorsements require you to tell people you're paid, or that you got something free, every time you mention Active.
- Paid Creators: show "#ad" on screen and say "Active pays me when you sign up with my link or code" at the start of every video or story. In captions, put "#ad" first and write "paid link" right next to your link. Use the platform's paid-partnership label too, but not instead.
- Gifted Creators: say and show "Active gave me 3 months free", or use "#ad".
- Podcasts and newsletters: say or write it before you give your code.
- A disclosure in a description, a comment or behind a link isn't enough on its own.
What You Can Say, and What You Can't
Do: share your honest experience, describe the features you used with the app's own names, and quote prices and plans as the app shows them.
Don't:
- promise weight loss, health results or before-and-after changes, or give medical advice;
- say the app does something it doesn't, or that no other app does something;
- describe anyone at Active as holding a credential or qualification, or name or show the people behind Active;
- call your code a discount, or make up deadlines or limits (the Lifetime count in the app is real: quote it as shown);
- offer anything for installs, ratings or reviews, or ask for a rating or review in the same post or message as your link or code;
- post your code on coupon, deal or cashback sites, buy ads on our app's name, or send spam;
- sign up through your own link or code, or make accounts to earn commissions;
- sell, trade or charge for any code;
- pretend to be Active, or use our name and logo other than as we provide them.
We check what creators post. If something needs fixing, we'll ask you to fix it. If it isn't fixed, or if it's serious (fraud, made-up accounts, paid reviews), the agreement ends and commissions on the affected sales aren't paid.
Gift Codes
Gifted Creators get one code for their own 3 months and, if they want, a shared code for their audience. The gift never depends on posting or on handing out codes, and nobody can be paid for handing them out. Every time you share a code, include these lines (Apple and Google require them):

Requires an Apple Account, subject to prior acceptance of license and usage terms, or a Google Play account. Not for resale; no cash value. Full terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/ww and activefitnessnutrition.com/creators. Offer and content provided by Active Fitness and Nutrition by Samuel LLC. After 3 months the plan renews at its regular price unless canceled.
The Rest
- You're an independent contractor, not our employee or agent, and you're free to work with other apps.
- Your posts stay yours. We may link to and share your public posts about Active, with credit. We'll ask before using them in ads.
- We'll email you 30 days before any change to these terms. People already credited to you keep the terms they were credited under, and your rate never goes down.
- Either side can end the agreement at any time by email. People credited to you before the end keep earning for you, for example their second and third monthly payments. New people after the end don't.
- These terms are governed by Oklahoma law, and disputes go to the courts in Oklahoma, as in our Terms of Use.
How to Join
Email ActiveFitnessHelp@activefitnessnutrition.com with your name, platform and handle, and whether you'd like to be a Paid or Gifted Creator. We reply within two days with your link, your code and these terms.
